I've heard a few Red Crossbills recently, all of which appear to be
Type 3. One at Deer Lagoon on Whidbey Island last Friday with Evan
Houston and another this past Saturday up at the Fremont Lookout at
Sunrise with Ryan Shaw and Annie Meyer, well above treeline!
Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough with the ipod with either bird to
get a recording.

Yesterday morning over Juanita Bay where I don't typically have Red
Crossbills I was able to get a poor recording of one that does seem to
be Type 3.
