Subject: [Tweeters] Wood Sandpiper state record question

Yes it would be the first for the state if accepted.
There have been 3 reports reviewed by the Washington Bird Records
Committee [1988, 1989, and 1991] , all of them not accepted. They are
written about in the first WBRC report -- The report mentions that
the committee at the time felt the details were insufficient to
accept these reports, wanting to have unequivocal details before
accepting such an unusual species.

So, if it sticks around, send in those photos anyone who manages to
get them -- detailed write-ups too!

Best,

Matt Bartels
Secretary WBRC
Seattle, WA
