Yesterday I failed to find the WOOD SANDPIPER on the Samish Flats, near the West 90. I was there between about 2 and 4 PM. I did see 3 juv LESSER YELLOWLEGS and a few LEAST SANDPIPERS that came and went, occasionally landing nearly out of sight.

The Skagit Game Range (aka Skagit Wildlife) was alive with shorebirds, with a nice mixture at each of the 4 ponds.

BB Plover - 4 adults
Semi Plover - 2
Killdeer - a few
Wilson's Snipe - 2
Short-billed Dowitcher - 2 juv, the first juv dows I have seen this year
Long-billed Dowitcher - 4 adults
Greater Yellowlegs - 1 adult in alternate plumage
Lesser Yellowlegs - several juvs
Spotted Sandpiper - 1 juv
Western Sandpiper - 1 adult & over 100 juvs
Least Sandpiper - 2 adults and more juvs
Pectoral Sandpiper - 3 adults
Wilson's Phalarope - 1 juv
