Hello,

Today Tom Mansfield and I decided to check as many shorebird hotspots as
possible in Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, and Whitman County. With a few other
fun species thrown into the mix, it was quite a day.

Spokane County:Peone Wetland: Black crowned Night Heron, Western (5),
Least (3), Semipalmated Sandpiper (1), Wilson's Snipe, Solitary Sandpiper

Turnbull NWR: Western (10), Least (5), Semipalmated Sandpiper (2),
Wilson's Snipe (3), Solitary Sandpiper (5)

Stevens County: Valley STP: Greater Yellowlegs (2), Lesser Yellowlegs (3),
Spotted Sandpiper (5), Least Sandpiper (2), Baird's Sandpiper (1), Wilson's
Phalarope (4), juvenile PEREGRINE FALCON

Little Pend Oreille NWR (Moran Creek access); BLACK BACKED WOODPECKER
(5+), WHITE HEADED WOODPECKER (1).

Colville STP: Killdeer, Semipalmated Plover, Lesser Yellowlegs (4),
Solitary Sandpiper (2), Spotted Sandpiper (2), Western Sandpiper (50),
Least Sandpiper (10), Baird's Sandpiper (10), Semipalmated Sandpiper (3),
STILT SANDPIPER (1), Pectoral Sandpiper (3), Long billed Dowitcher (2),
SHORT BILLED DOWITCHER, PEREGRINE FALCON

Chewelah City Park:Merlin (2)

Lincoln County: Reardan Audubon Lake: Western, Least Sandpiper, Wilson's
Snipe, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Eared Grebe

Sprague Lake - Lincoln - Clark's Grebe

Sprague STP: Baird's Sandpiper (7), Western Sandpiper (50), Red Necked
Phalarope (50). The mud is beginning to emerge in the eastern pond, The
next month should be awesome

Whitman County: Sheep Lake: Am White Pelican, Solitary Sandpiper,
Grasshopper Sparrow

Total: 105 species and a fun day with my friend.
