Yesterday (Monday) evening we were cruising Portage Bay and noticed a large bird perched in a dead tree near The Bryants Building west of Agua Verde Restaurant on Boat Street. On closer inspection, it was an Osprey that was very unconcerned about the four or five crows that joined it, but did not seem to harass it, for a few minutes. Aside from going aground in the shallow waters under the tree, we enjoyed an unobstructed view of this beautiful bird for abut fifteen minutes without disturbing it. It was still there as we continued around the lake.
