My birding group and I saw four White-tailed Ptarmigan today at the Mt.
Fremont Lookout, around noon. Even if you've seen lots of ptarmigan, the
hike and the drive into the park are well worth it just for the wildflowers,
which are magnificent this year in mid-August (most a month later than
usual).
