Hello all,

My wife, daughter and I will be going to Glacier NP at the end of the month
for about 9 days. We want to do some birding during that time and are
looking for recommendations of particularly birdie spots. We have mainly
birded in Western Washington so many common birds there would be new to us.
I've queried the Montana Birding list but did not get too much information.

We will be staying about 4 nights in the St Mary area and 3 nights in the
West Glacier area.

Some spots we plan to explore for birds and other wildlife are:

Logan Pass

Many Glacier

Northfork Valley-Mcgee Meadows

Grinnell Lake

Outside of the park there seem to be some good spots in the Flathead lake
area. We might also try to hit the National Bison Range.

We don't really have a target list.

Does anyone have any recommendations of good birding areas this time of year
in Glacier NP?

All comments are feedback are welcome.

Best Regards,

Doug Schurman
