Tweets, The last few days have seen a number of interesting visitors,
including fall migrants, to the back yard. Saturday while doing projects I
noticed a yellowthroat, possibly two, skulking and chipping in the shrubbery
a very few times. It's been at least 10 years since I've seen a yellowthroat
in the yard. A Bewick's Wren showed up, too - after a prolonged absence -
and a Pine Siskin, apparently interested in the tiny pond. Early Sunday
morning the first Warbling Vireo of the year, and a few tanagers and
Black-headed Grosbeaks have been competing with the starlings for the
cherries the last couple weeks. Great fun!
