Just a note to all bird-loving people who have been to Ridgefield NWR and
will, no doubt, return and those who are planning on going to this refuge
for perhaps the first time. There is a Bird Sightings page on the Friends
of the Refuge website,
www.ridgefieldfriends.org/bird-sightings-last-week.php that lists the
current birds that are being seen at the refuge. This list is updated on a
daily basis by a pool of up to 25 birders. There is also a Target List page
which lists the birds that were seen the week before, but not yet seen this
week, an Archive Page that goes back five years and a page that lists all
unique birds that have been seen since January 1. All these pages are
linked from the main Sightings Page. So, if you are planning on doing some
birding at the refuge and would like to know what birds have been seen, or
would like to know what birds have been seen one-five years ago, check out
the Bird Sightings page of the refuge.
