Hi Tweeters,

Just got back from a morning in Discovery Park. High in a cottonwood (?) across the street from the housing that was torn down recently (at the top of the road from the beach/treatment plant) I saw a foraging bird that stumped me totally. It had a very black head/throat, white belly, bright red-orange patches beside the neck/throat, and the same bright orange & black on the wings, tho' I couldn't tell much about the pattern, just color flashes. I didn't get lots of long looks at it as it was in and out of the foliage and I was getting serious warbler neck. I've been poring over my Sibley's guide, and the only thing that comes close is the American Redstart, which looks like a match, color-wise. Is it possible?
