I'll be in Port Alberni BC on Saturday Sept 24 off a cruise ship from Seattle so I won't have my own transportation.? I understand that you have good birding there.? Can anyone suggest hot spots that I can get to somehow?? I can't afford taxi rides so I'm pretty much limited to public transport or walking areas from the waterfront or, of course, a guiding angel who would show me around. I'd gladly buy gas and Tim Horton's or the some such.? Just don't expect me to eat gravy on the fries. ? Any info would be helpful.?
