after losing half my document to a computer with an old and cranky
battery, I finally finished a "translation" of a paper that was just
published online in BIOLOGY LETTERS. this paper is by a canadian team
that conducted a 3-year study of tree swallows brood sex ratios. Their
study found that tree swallows' brood sex ratios are an economic
balancing act with far-reaching evolutionary consequences. I thought
