hi everyone,

why do birds sing? what are they saying? if you've wondered about
these things, i think i know just the book for you. i just published
my review of the book and podcast, Birdwatching With Your Eyes Closed.
the goals of this book and podcast are to help people learn to ID
common British birds by voice. if you are traveling to or live in the
UK or, like me, you love listening birdsongs and learning how to ID
birds by ear that are from all over the world, you will love this
podcast (and it's free). even though i just received a review copy of
the book, i'm reading it now and i think the prose is magical. i think
you may enjoy reading it and sharing it with your friends and family
as a (holiday) gift. here's my review:
