Subject: [Tweeters] Leadbetter Point Snowy Owl

Hi Tweeters,

The nice weather and mid-day low tide coupled with the owl irruption
inspired me to make the trek to Leadbetter Point today. Going out on the
bay side the plan was to scope one on Grassy Island and turn around but
that was not to be. I continued on and went through a low spot to the
entrance of Willapa Bay and turned along the beach toward the ocean. From
near the tip of Leadbetter Point I climbed the foredune and looked around
and there perched on a hummock was a SNOWY OWL. I'm sure actually finding
one made the hike back feel less arduous.
