Subject: [Tweeters] Mount Rainier - Paradise - Common Redpolls

Greeting all -

Tracey Norris and I ventured to Mount Rainier National Park - Paradise to hopefully scrounge up some winter finches. We were rewarded with a several groups of Pine Grosbeaks feeding around the lodge and several groups of Evening Grosbeaks as well. Our main hope was Common Redpoll - and we succeeded with a small flock of 15 birds flying over about halfway up towards Panorama Point and 3 more Redpolls in a flock of Pine Siskin behind the Paradise Lodge.
Keep an eye out in the lowlands for these guys (Redpolls) - Charlie Wright has had a few this past week in Puyallup and South Hill.
