Hi Tweets,

I drove out to Ocean Shores today with my girlfriend to catch the Snowies
and got on the road a bit late, but nevertheless had a great time at the
shores. Went out to Damon Point at about 2pm and had great looks at 6
SNOWs at once.....my dad would be jealous!! On the way out to the point, I
was pointed to the "Queen" Eider swimming just offshore about 100ft, and
got great looks as the sun was descending with great light showing that
rich brown color. Since I had missed the "Queen" on other occasions, this
happened to be a lifer for me. I then decided to round out my day with 5
min left before sunset by trying for the Rock Sandpipers at the jetty
(which I've also missed before), so I drove to the point, scrambled out
over the jetty rocks as fast as I could, and just as the sun set I looked
down at my feet to see 5 Surfbirds, 3 Black Turnstones, and 2 Rock
Sandpipers just 15 feet away......ROCK ON!!!! Second lifer for the day and
some of the best looks at SNOWs in my life! Had a great little group of
Canvasbacks too, which I always love.

I guess the day was.....OK........
