Spent a couple hours late afternoon walking the dike at Lummi Flats at the
end of Kwina Rd. I was targeting Snow Buntings and Lapland Longspur and was
able to find both. There was 1 Lapland Longspur just prior to the 2nd water
spillway, near the western most point of the dike. There were 35 Snow
Buntings at the "gate", which is actually a big pipe laid across the road,
at the furthest point one could drive to.



Several other highlights were Long-tailed Duck, Short-eared Owl (flying over
water near where the LALO was, and thousands of Brant.
