Hi Tweeters,

This morning Ivar and Phyllis Dolph took us to March's Point to look for
the reported Snow Buntings. At 9:30 a.m. we found a flock of five on top
of the black berm that runs along the refinery perimeter just inside the
fence. They were just east of the green tank numbered "136" on the sunny
eastern side of the peninsula, almost to the point.

While we watched, they began stirring, preening, and then actively
foraging on the berm. They flew, twittering, down to the shoreline, then
up to the rim of the tank, and took off from there. Looked like two
males, two females, and a juvenile. They are a new life bird for me and
my husband, so I'm just going by the book! Beautiful birds.

Good birding,

Kristi Hein and Casey Bazewick
