Tweeters: I skied the Iron Horse Trail at Snoqualmie Pass today. There were
a at least a dozen ducks/grebes on the lake, but regrettably I did not ski
with my bins-and I usually do! Luckily, two swans flew by, just above the
surface of the lake, close to shore and easy to see. As a kid on the trail
said, they looked like a mom and a baby, in that one was significantly
larger than the other. But would a first year still be noticeably smaller
than other swans at this late date? Or could they have been a trumpeter and
a tundra? Thanks, Mary Bond, Seattle
