Subject: [Tweeters] BARN OWLS - on the move?

Hi
Today I saw three separate Clallam County BARN OWLS while driving on 101 -
one by Sequim Bay and one west of Port Angeles in the morning, and one by
Sequim in the evening. All were flying over the road edge - one quite low
as though hunting. This seems relatively unusual, and I'd welcome comments.
Second, there were a couple of well-seen SAVANNAH SPARROWS at Neah Bay.
These seem to be reasonably regular in the Puget Trough in winter, but
ebird doesn't show any records on the coast. Is that just a sampling error?
Cheers,
Nigel
