Here is a related tale, but from the other end of the spectrum:
?
I was walking around Confluence Park in Wenatchee a couple of winters ago, with Bob Stallcop.
At the upper end of the park, the trail goes between some apartment/business buiildings and the river.
Bob pointed out the Great Horned Owl on the railing of the 2 story building, just above us.
?
I quickly glanced up and declared it a Bubo Plastica ..
Then it blinked its eyes at me ....
?
It was , of course, a real owl, perched on someones rail just outside their apartment, in just exactly the place I have seen so many "Real" plastic owls.
?
I wonder if it was smart enough to use that as camoflauge ...? ;)
