Friday night 12/10 under a bright full moon a shadow came to rest on the fence between the Magnussen park off leash area and the NOAH meadow. It stayed put long enough for me to get a full view of the long feather tufts and the vertical facial disc markings and ID it as a long eared owl. It then fell backwards and swooped North across the meadow.
Saturday morning 12/11 a small flock of 3 swans was spotted flyng south toward the fill so after the dogs had their fun I ran down to see if i could spot them . I counted 14, No glasses so I could not ID but others said they were trumpeters. There were 10 adult and 4 cygnets.
Amazing chance sightings for me .
