At noon today (Tues) spotted a Yellow-rumped Warbler on a power/cable (I can never tell what is what) line across the street. It was alone and was doing a whole lot of head-swiveling (a good idea since we have a neighborhood Coopers). Stayed there about 15 minutes, repositioning a bit further down the line once, before flying away. Can't say I've seen one at this time of year, before, altho only been at this location not quite 3 years. At any rate, it was a refreshing change from a crow, flicker, starling, junco, etc. (A robin was at that same location earlier this morning, too, altho of course it's not as unusual to see them in winter -- but haven't seen many the past month or so).
