Howdy

Well, it's getting so you can't go anywhere without seeing a snowy owl. A
number of Port Angeles residents and Olympic National Park employees had a
fine look at one roosting on the roof of the park's administrative
headquarters Weds. afternoon. It was around for at least an hour. This
location seemed a bit odd as it is surrounded by tall trees, on the edge of
a well built-up neighborhood, not as open as other places I've seen
snowies. In case you want to look for the owl, park HQ is the handsome
stone & shake building at 600 E. Park Ave., a quarter mile west of the
visitor center. The end of Ediz Hook might also be worth a try, as in '05.
