Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 15. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On December 8 a DICKCISSEL was at a Langlois feeder. A COMMON GALLINULE was
photographed December 10 on Howard Prairie Lake east of Ashland. On December
11 a male TUFTED DUCK was on the Columbia River at Stevenson, WA., and a
CANYON WREN was on Beacon Rock. The Llewellyn Road MOUNTAIN PLOVER and the
Rockaway LEAST FLYCATCHER continue to be seen.

The SNOWY OWLS at Albany, Ridgefield NWR, and near Burns continue to be
seen. On December 9 one was along the Siltcoos River south of Florence.

On December 8 a REDPOLL was at Coos Bay. A late TURKEY VULTURE was there
December 9. On December 10 a RUDDY TURNSTONE was with the BLACK TURNSTONE
flock at the Bay City Oyster Plant on Tillamook Bay. A MOCKINGBIRD was in
Astoria December 10. On December 10 a small flock of GRAY-CROWNED
ROSY-FINCHES were on Saddle Mountain east of Seaside. On December 14 an
adult GLAUCOUS GULL was in Seaside.

On December 14 four TREE SWALLOWS were north of Vancouver, WA. A probable
REDPOLL was in Vancouver December 9. On December 13 a MOCKINGBIRD and seven
LESSER GOLDFINCHES were in Vancouver. A late BARN SWALLOW was at the
Smith/Bybee Lakes December 10. The Broughton Beach SNOW BUNTING continues to
be seen. A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was seen December 11 at Powell Butte Park in
Gresham. On December 9 a GYRFALCON was at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. Five
BARN SWALLOWS were in Salem December 13. A BLUE JAY is now being seen at
Bald Hill Park near Corvallis.

On December 10 a WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL was with a flock of RED CROSSBILLS
along Palmer Junction Road north of Elgin. On December 9 eleven LESSER
GOLDFINCHES were in LaGrande. At Moss Springs Campground near Cove December
10 were 25 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, 20 REDPOLLS, and five PINE GROSBEAKS.
