Subject: [Tweeters] Swan ID question

Seems we have a lot of swan ID questions coming in from around the country.
The swans in the Cle Elum area are tundras. They are common on these ponds
in the fall-spring migration and in recent years staying with the freeze. I
have not seen a trumpeter in this area but one never knows what birds are
going to do at some point in their lives.

For a good swan ID consideration take a look at these on the web. I will
appreciate any thoughts from others. I know what one person called it but
there are still potential questions.
I am hoping that someone there will be able to help us. There have been
several posts to JerseyBirds the past two days concerning a possible or
possible Trumpeters at E.B. Forsythe NWR this past week. I was there on
December 9th and saw at least 26 Swans throughout the refuge. Most were
Tundras but one Swan at Gull Tower caught my eye and I was able to get a few
decent photos of it as well as the two other birds that were with it. I
don't want to wade into the public debate but if my photos help, I would
like to make sure they become part of the record. What do you think?

Some of my photos can be seen at the following link:

Thoughts from the tweeters folk will be appreciated.
