Thanks to everyone who responded on tweeters or to
me. I sent pictures to a few and the consensus
does seem to be tundras although there were some
trumpeter votes.

The swamp add on is that I spent an hour or so
over at the Fill and the Yesler Swamp today.
Swamp birds included both kinglets, black capped
chickadee, brown creeper, bushtit, spotted towhee,
Pacific and Marsh wrens, Robin, Steller's Jay, Am.
Crow, Song Sparrow, Downy Woodpecker, and the
highlight was a peekaboo of the Bald Eagle that
was in the Batelle nest. In the cove, there were
Hooded Mergansers, Mallards, Am. Wigeon,
Shovelers, Gadwall, Pintails and Bufflehead. The
lowlight was me pushing the envelope a bit and
ending up knee deep in muck - just two steps off
the path in what looked like a safe area. I was
really concerned for a few minutes that I was
going to be sucked in further and either not able
to get out or at least that I would lose both
boots. Fortunately there was a branch to grab
onto and get some leverage to get out ... with
boots. But seriously, lesson learned ... be
careful out there.

The fill birds were as expected (except no Great
Blue Heron seen anywhere). Best adds were the
Wood Ducks and a Cooper's.
