Tweeters,

Not to stir up a crows nest, but Marc brings up a good point...

What is a "commercial post"?

?

Is it OK for a non- retail business person (such as myself?or the person who was selling a scope) to tell other birders he/she has something to sell, like say they upgrade their binos /scope and want to give someone who is a Tweeter a great deal, or someone, like me, who has a few books someone may not have bought in the past and now can buy?and save a bundle?

?

Is it OK for someone to post about a book they just published and wish to sell?or to promote a book reading which are designed by nature to sell their books? (unless the book is 100% non-profit)

?

Is it OK for someone who has a retail online business to put the web address to their business at the bottom?of their post to Tweeters so that you can easily access their webstore like Marc (and others) do?

?

I personal don't think any of the above things hurts Tweeters,?I think it actually is good thing, and helps us buy locally. Now, I do think there should be limits, I'm not talking about Tweeters becoming the EBay of birding! But a few well intentioned items for sale and simple links to local business (like Marc's) should be tolerated.

?

I guess as Marc says maybe the head-Tweeter can clarify :-)
