This afternoon my friend Terry and I saw a female long-tailed duck swimming with some surf scoters under the Edmonds fishing pier.??The LTD was a first for me.??

A common murre was also quite close to the pier, giving Terry and I good opportunites to photograph it during our?rare sunny day.? The murre was floating between the fishing pier and the breakwater when I returned in the late afternoon to photogrpah the sunset.
