Hi Carol and Tweets,

It seems to be pretty common, which would explain why the crows are so keen
on escorting any hawk, eagle or owl that comes along out of their territory.
I saw an interesting encounter along these lines a year or two ago when I
lived in Edmonds. I wrote about it in my (badly neglected) Everyday Wild
blog:

Yesterday I received a picture (taken in Magnolia) of a Red-tailed Hawk
perched with a crow in its talons. Since crows seem to be very
effective at intimidating and harassing raptors, I was wondering how
common it is for hawks/eagles to prey on crows.
