Tweeters, I was surprised to find a Great Egret this morning at the end of Eide Rd. in Stanwood. It was out in the open, close to the road just past the concrete barricades and observed catching many fish. Also present were 2 for sure and likely 3 Snowy Owls. One visible from the concrete blocks a short walk from the parking area looking towards Thomle Rd. The other 2 visible on the Port Susan Bay side of the dike from the furthest point south you can walk from the Eide Rd. parking area. Also around were Sharp-shinned Hawk, Short-eared Owl, Rough-legged Hawk, W. Meadowlark, Yellow-rumped Warblers and a nice Orange-crowned Warbler. Michael WillisonStanwood
