Subject: [Tweeters] Anna's Hummingbird Deep in the Woods

Today at 11am on a clear cold calm day a female Anna's hummingbird landed
on our deck not far from two feeders full of sunflower seeds (we don't have
hummingbird feeders). We live east of Everson at 1,000 feet elevation in a
fairly remote heavily forested area. This is our first sighting of an
Anna's in our 17 years living here. Maybe it took a long excursion to try
and locate new feeders? (Lynne Givler)
