A big wish for a Merry Christmas to everyone and for lots of great
birds in 2012. Thanks for the many excellent vulture reports over the
year; they are much appreciated.

I've been enjoying the messages regarding the Ross's gull in the
Okanogan. I was fortunate to be living in New Hampshire in the 70s
and spent many days driving down to Newburyport, Mass., to visit and
bird on Plum Island. I have many photos of both the 1975 Ross's gull
and the crowds that were there to see it. It was really neat to be
able to see such a rare bird and get good views of it both perched
and flying. Hope you all get to see the Palmer Lake bird - a great
Chrismas present!
