A large flock of Evening Grosbeak descended on my feeders today--the
first time I've seen them there since last summer. I stopped counting
at 18. Also present most of the morning were a dozen Juncos, six
Steller Jays, four Chestnut backed Chickadees, three Varied Thrush, a
pair of Flickers, and one lone song sparrow.

(Just for the record, I have been gone most of the day for the past three
days, so the Grosbeak could have shown up sometime then--in case anyone
is keeping exact records on when the birds first appear.)

Thanks for all the feedback on the Steller Jays in Seattle.
