I cannot remember who said it, but, I love the description of a Gadwall as an Harris Tweed Duck.

Subject: [Tweeters] Black Phoebe at Hawks Prairie reclaimed water ponds

I was photographing Gadwalls this morning when I heard an unfamiliar call, repeated incessantly as the bird flew toward me. It landed in a nearby willow but I couldn't quite get a good view of until just before it flew. I saw that it was a Black Phoebe. I got some pictures after it landed again but they are pretty poor. It was a nervous bird, never staying in one place for long and, soon, it disappeared somewhere behind the Nutriam facility.
