Hello Tweeters,
I finally decided to take the 600 mile trip to Palmer Lake. This is the
place where Patrick and I spending 6 years our vacation ,camping on Palmer
lake exploring all the hot spots what Okanagon have to offer end of may to
middle of June.
With some problem on Sunday Morning the old Rav 4 did not starting, been
staying to long not be driven, even so I have the super
AAA Battery. So I took my Toyota Scion did not know how he would perform in
Winter condition ICE & SNOW.

I made it to Palmer Lake in 5 hours, what was good time.At The rest area I
meet a great couple NAME? who told me exactly where I find this Gull who
the dead Deer was laying, partly frozen and in water.I got there at 1,00pm
and all the 52 birders where on the south Side. The Gull was than on the
North Side of the lake flying around.I met a nice lady she is from Spokane
again no name, even so she went on our last winter tripThe Gull came to our
area and settled down, watching the only food supply. lt.looking to the right
and left & in the air.Earlier I find a big stick and cracked the Ice,so free
the meat from the Ice.He flew so much on the North Side ,so he kept staying
sitting right next to the dead Deer. There where I got the close Shots.I
left at 5.00 PM
when I got Gas in Omak,it start lightly to Snow. All people said it was
forecaster Bluwett Pass was a challenge driving in low gear. The Car
performed better than I expected. Away from the pass it was heavy raining
so did Snowqualmie. It was a great day all together meeting all the birders
and got close shots of this Rare visitor.
