Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A BEWICK?S TUNDRA SWAN is now being seen at the Coffee Creek Wetlands near
Woodburn. The Bald Hill BLUE JAY near Corvallis, the Alvadore MOCKINGBIRD,
and the Llewelyn Road MOUNTAIN PLOVER near Tangent are still being seen. On
December 25 a breeding plumaged PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER joined the Mountain
Plover.
SNOWY OWLS were reported during the week at Fern Ridge Reservoir, on
Salishan Spit at Siletz Bay, on the North Jetty of Yaquina Bay, and on
December 28 at the junction of I5 and the Corvallis turnoff OR 34. TREE
SWALLOWS were reported during the week at Ridgefield NWR, Smith/Bybee Lakes
in North Portland, near the Eugene Airport, and near Coquille. A
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW and a BARN SWALLOW were near the Eugene Airport
December 25. Another VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW was near Coquille December 26.
On December 23 a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was over Tahkenitch Lake south of
Florence. A LONG-TAILED DUCK and six KITTIWAKES were at Winchester Bay.
On December 26 a male TUFTED DUCK was near Clatskanie. A POMARINE JAEGER was
seen December 28 at the Sheridan Sewage Ponds. During the week a BRANT and a
GLAUCOUS GULL were at the Heron Lakes Golf Course in North Portland. The
Broughton Beach/Portland Airport SNOW BUNTING continues to be seen. On
December 21 a TUFTED DUCK was off Broughton Beach. A DIPPER was seen
December 24 along Balch Creek in Portland?s West Hills. The HARRIS?S SPARROW
near Cornelius continues to be seen. On December 26 an EMPEROR GOOSE was at
the Tualatin River NWR. A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was at Jackson Bottom in
Hillsboro December 23. On December 27 a MOCKINGBIRD was in Independence. A
SANDHILL CRANE was at Finley NWR December 24.
