If you're going to be in Maine, Acadia National Park is hard to resist - varied habitat including conferous and deciduous forests, lakes, wetlands, cliffs, shoreline (rocky), plus trails, carriage roads, kayak tours, and pelagic trips and beautiful scenery. Lots of places to stay in Bar Harbor, depends upon your price range. It can be really crowded, especially on weekends...mid-week in May probably wouldn't be too bad.

Be prepared for blackflies if you're going to be in the northeast in May.

Hello Tweeters, our son moved to Vermont a couple of months ago so naturally we
re planning trip out there in May.
am sure there are people out there in Tweeterdom who have suggestions on where
o bird and stay in Vermont and Maine.
have some books and a birding trail map but I like to get first hand info when
can. Tweeters has always been a great place for information.
hanks in advance,
