I also saw it, briefly. I had gone to the far south margin of the furthest
south pond and was sitting on the ground hoping the cormorants and
Ring-necked Ducks would meander back my direction, when I heard the phoebe
coming. It landed in a pond-side willow about 50 m away and sat there for
about 5 minutes before departing back to the north. I walked all over the
property for another hour and a half and never saw it again. I really wanted
to get some better photos but it has proven to be a nervous Nellie. Kelly

Tina and I refound the Black Phoebe this morning. It was on the berm
separating the first two ponds in the Hawks Prairie reclamation ponds.
Parking is at the intersection of Hogum Bay Road and 30th Ave NE in Lacey.
