Hi all -
I'm on a year-end/year-beginning swing around Eastern WA this weekend [just a couple days late for the Ross's, natch].
To end the year, I pulled in at the fishing access on the Adams Co end of Sprague Lake at dusk -- the lake was frozen, but flying east along the shoreline was a Snowy Owl -- nice way to end the year!

The rest of the day was mostly slow, but I did run into a flock of Common Redpolls in Pend Oreille County, at the corner of Kirkpatrick & Milan Farm Rd.

2011 was a good year, here's to the surprises of 2012?..
