Hello Tweeters,
I spend 2 full days in Nisqually,Tuesday for the ribbon cutting for the new
Boardwalk.It was a historical celebration,To see the Refuge slowly returned
to his natural habitat,where it was over 100 years ago.This new Boardwalk
and the way it is designed.will makes this one of the Best Refuges around,
I been going there on a regular walk with the birdying group on
Wednesday,where we some time reaching over 20 birders.I expect the numbers
going to be higher.The Boardwalk is design where you walk it seems so easy
and not tiresome.You are so much closer to the birds on both sides.I am not
to rattle the birds of ,only to mention the 2 species of Shorebirds what we
sighted on the boardwalk,there where many'but mention yesterday Tuesday we
had 3 Least Sandpipers,on the mud,and today there increased to 14 birds,what
could be first arriving birds for the season,what would be real early.The
other group with Phil Kelly had Dowitchers,what Phil probable mention this
in the report for the group.
Since the Dike been broken we having over all, much more birds in Nisqually
with a big variety.
