Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 3. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On January 27 a BEWICK?S TUNDRA SWAN was photographed in the Straits Unit of
Lower Klamath NWR. A possible ARCTIC LOON was reded off Yachats January 26.

On January 29 six TURKEY VULTURES were near Brookings. One was near Merlin
in the Rogue Valley, and two were near Hampton in Deschutes County January
28. Large flocks of ROBINS are now arriving into the Willamette Valley.

On February 1 a GLAUCOUS GULL and a SNOWY EGRET were at Coos Bay. A
LONG-TAILED DUCK and 100 CANVASBACKS were at Tillamook Bay January 29. A
WESTERN SANDPIPER was with nine SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and about 1000 LEAST
SANDPIPERS were on Tillamook Bay January 31. Three ROCK SANDPIPERS were seen
February 1 on Barview Jetty.

Four SURF SCOTERS and 350 GREATER SCAUP were with 3000 LESSER SCAUP on the
Columbia River near the Portland Airport January 29. The next day four pairs
of BARROW?S GOLDENEYE were on the Willamette River near the Broadway Bridge
in Portland. On February 1 a BARN SWALLOW and two TREE SWALLOWS were at
Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. The two WHITE PELICANS continue to be seen in
Tualatin.

The Tangent GYRFALCON was seen again January 29. One was at Green Island
near Eugene January 27. Among the many ducks on Dexter Reservoir January 29
were eight COMMON GOLDENEYE and 25 GREATER SCAUP.

The MOCKINGBIRD in Madras and the one in Klamath Falls continue to be seen.
On January 29 six BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in Redmond.
