Yesterday (Thursday, 2/3/11) I found the White-throated Sparrow reported
some days ago by Ken Knittle. It was on the feeder on the left (south) side
of the Goodrich Road just before the road turns north. The Goodrich Ponds
were barren with the exception of Bufflehead and some swan species in
scope range in the fields. Also found a Redhead in the slough across from the
old sewage treatment plant in Chehalis, about a block from NW Louisiana Ave
on NW Shoreline Dr. It was swimming with a group of Ring-necked ducks.
And last found a Western Gull at Fort Borst Lake. I didn't considered a
particularly good find until getting home and found it rated as a 4 bird.
