What you say about the Barred Owl preying on Spotted Owls, Western Screech Owls, and Douglas Squirrels may be absolutely true. However, the bottom-line cause for the demise of the afore-mentioned species is the same bottom-line cause for the invasion of the Barred Owl, which you acknowledged yourself --- LOGGING.
