I recently was doing some browsing on trying to find out about my maternal line that goes back to Colonial times. In this case, I was looking at a family forum of a possible connection (I no longer think so in that case). Anyway, one lawyer/judge died from a turkey peck to his head that led to a terminal infection. There weren't any antibiotics in the 1700's.

With discussion of the turkeys in Conway last week I thought I would post this youtube video link for your viewing pleasure. It is of a postal worker in MI who carries a 4 foot stick to protect himself from the turkeys.
