I hope better late than never for those of you
who read these reports. The 2nd and the 4th
seemed to be good days for spotting turkey
vultures. They are right on schedule for the
month. Here is the October 2010 report for Washington and British Columbia.

south over Whiskey Ridge; 1 scruffy bird over Federal Way
02 ? 23 over Battle Ground; 40 soaring over
Shoreline; 3 headed east at Camas; 1 over
Seattle?s Sunset Hill; 13 near Freeland; 150 over Dabob Bay in a half hour
03 ? 1 east of Easton; 1 at Battle Ground; 40 near Olympia High School
04 ? 4 circling west of the WWU campus over the
water; 6 over Somerset Hill; 1 at Battle Ground; 1 near the Brady Loop Road
05 ? 37 w/one kettle of 23, then small groups;
100+ heading south over Olympia; 4 north of
Centralia; 11 at Centralia outlet mall; 73 at
I-5/exit 71; 166 at I-5/Hyw 12 intersection; 40 over south Seattle
06 ? 1 riding thermals over Kenmore and headed NW
07 -- 2 over Marymoor Park; 1 soaring near Gig
Harbor; 2 over Seattle; 1 over Lowell Road
08 ? 15 up Monroe Road, Port Angeles
09 ? 2 at Battle Ground
10 ? (?) at Buttertubs Marsh, B.C.
11 ? 20 over the Coal Greek golf course
31 ? 1 over Langley, B.C.
