Subject: [Tweeters] January 2011 turkey vulture report
Date: Feb 14 15:56:40 2011
From: Diann MacRae - tvulture at vei.net

Hi, Tweets

This is the last one for now. Turkey vultures
start appearing on their northward migration in
February, usually later in the month, so these
January birds are probably ones that have
overwintered. The vultures in this report are from Washington and Oregon.

Turkey vultures seen in January 2011

09 ? 1 at Kennewick
16 ? 2 eating a dead 'possum in Tacoma
27 ? 4 in the Coquille Valley, Oregon
29 ? 1 at Woodland Bottoms, Cowlitz County; 6
near Brookings, 1 near Merlin in the Rogue
Valley, and 2 near Hampton in Deschutes County ? all in Oregon

I don't have any reports yet for February, so
keep looking up! And thanks for the January reports.

Cheers, Diann
