Today I observed a Turkey Vulture on a telephone pole near Sundale Park (on Hwy 14, Columbia Gorge, WA). There was a deer carcass below the bird but no other scavengers around that I could see. This is the earliest in the year I can remember seeing a Turkey Vulture in WA.
