Multitudes of Evening Grosbeak, Juncos, a half dozen Stellar Jays, a pair
of Flickers, the sparrows, and a few Spotted Towhee continue to frequent
my feeders and/or eat the seeds from the dead grasses on the acerage
here in Cinebar. The four Varied Thrush that were hanging around seem
to have disappeared--or it could be that our paths have just not crossed.

One big difference this month is the number of Chestnut-backed
Chickadees. Usually, there are never more than two of them in evidence
at the same time--at feeders or elsewhere here, but this week, there
have been a half dozen regularly--all at the same time--flitting back
and forth around the two feeders on the maple tree. Still only 3
Blackcaps though.

By the way, is there some place on the web to get the results of that
Special I-5 Red-tailed Hawk Count?
