Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 17. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER in the Sellwood area of Portland continues to
be seen.

SANDHILL CRANES are now arriving with numbers building on Sauvie Island. The
first early BAND-TAILED PIGEONS are now being seen. TREE and BARN SWALLOWS,
and TURKEY VULTURES are increasing.

On February 10 a singing WRENTIT was in the Sandy River Delta on the east
side of the Sandy River across from the airport. A lone WHITE PELICAN was on
Fairview Lake February 14. On February 15, among many GREEN-WINGED TEAL at
the Koll Wetlands in Beaverton, were three EURASIAN TEAL. The wintering
YELLOWTHROAT and SWAMP SPARROW at the Fernhill Wetlands continue to be seen.

Up to 119 BALD EAGLES were seen during week the at the evening roost near
Tangent.

The Bend HARRIS?S SPARROW continues to be seen. On February 12 a male
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was at the Redmond Sewage Ponds. A female
RED-BREASTED was there February 16. A HARRIS?S SPARROW was seen February 10
in Fields. A SAY?S PHOEBE was near the town of Wallowa during the week.
